Private AVO - Successful Application

We represented a client who made an Application for an APVO against his partner’s former partner.

The client sought the assistance of the police who, as the often do in non-domestic situations, did not wish to proceed, even though an offence had clearly been committed.

Although, due to unforseen circumstances, one solicitor from our office ran the first day of the hearing and another the second, our theory of the case ran perfectly.

The Magistrate did not even wish to hear submissions from us.

Our client was successful in obtaining the much needed APVO – something he was not able to achieve with the assistance of police!
